Tim Farley born March 15,1969, to Bernie Farley and to the racing scene. At the age of 14 he started working on a street stock with his father and Terry Macualy. That's when the racing bug bit. At the age of 22 he started his own racing career. Tim and his dad along with Chris May, they built the number 82 super stock and went on to capture the 1991 ROOKIE OF THE YEAR at Spencer Speedway. With many heat race wins and many top ten finishes under his belt.Tim decided to jump up a class. To the Grand American modifieds with the help of long time friend and engine builder Wayne Ford, he went on to capture the 1996 ROOKIE OF THE YEAR.Then finishing in the top ten in points in 1997 and in 1998.
Tim married long time girl friend Jill Russell in August 1998.In 1999 Tim found his new calling. The CUPLITE RACING SERIES .The first year of the series was hard getting used to the new kind of car. A scaled down size Winston Cup look alike car running on a Yamaha 700sx snowmobile engine. With no engine modifications allowed. Tim finished 19th in points in only 8 races that were run, with 5 top tens in those races. This years car was special,Tim got permission from Bill Elliott to run his look alike car.The 2000 racing season brought on a little surprise .Tim's son Tanner was born . Plus on two of the races following, the Oswego race and the Spencer Speedway race Tim won the heat race Each were very close races. Many laps were side by side. Even on instant replay the officials said they were very close. With Tim crossing the finish line just inches before the other cars. Tim finished 22nd in points that year.
The 2001 season should be even better. With his first race at Spencer Speedway getting a fifth place finish, and at Chemung speedrome with an 8th place finish.
Tim's goal for this year is to keep family and friends together, and enjoy Americas Best Sporting event, and to keep on racing even better than ever.Tims racing career is dedicated to his grandfather "GRANDPA FARLEY".
The owners of the car are Bernie Farley and Chris May.
